Get to know Stevan A. Nosonowitz

Stevan A. Nosonowitz, Esq., is a private practitioner who has engaged in matrimonial and family law practice since 1986.

He received a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University Graduate School of Business and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School.

He is licensed to practice law in the state of New York and in Federal Court for the Southern District of New York.

In 2012 and 2013, he received the distinction of being named as a New York State Super Lawyer, a recognition of excellence in practice placing him among the top five percent (5%) of matrimonial and family law attorneys in this state.

Highly experienced in matrimonial law

Mr. Nosonowitz has been qualified and testified as an expert in matrimonial law in Federal Court and has been a past lecturer to the Dutchess County Bar Association.

He has also served on the Attorney for the Children Panel as a past Law Guardian at the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department in difficult custody and abuse and neglect cases for approximately ten (10) years in the early stages of his career.

He has been a past member of the New York State Bar Association and its Family Law Section.

Aside from an extensive background in trial level matrimonial litigation, Mr. Nosonowitz also has significant experience with respect to matrimonial and family court appellate practice in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Divisions, Second and Third Judicial Departments.
