Effective January 23, 2016, New York State has a formula for computing Post-Divorce Spousal Maintenance up to the first $184,000.00 of combined income. However, the trial Judge still retains a great deal of discretion to apply the Post-Divorce Spousal Maintenance formula or deviate out of the formula.
